VERY BAD DAY AT TOYOTA/BT

HOT OF THE PRESS... JOB LOSSES JUST ANNOUNCED THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE WHOLE OF THE COMPANY.MEETING WAS CALLED TODAY TO ANNOUNCE REDUNDANCIES.WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT? BUT NOT TOO SURPRISING AS COSTS MUST BE HORRENDOUS.LOOKS LIKE THE INTEGRATION TRUMPETED BY THE TOP BRASS IN 2007 HAS BEEN A BAD MOVE.

Thats right Bt didnt lay anyone off last time and there not now, there closing the toyota depot at warrington and moving them to the BT depot in warrington, the sales and back office staff will be effected and why because Toyota have been losing money for a long time, where as BT was not, remember they merge together and the stronger one took over the handling and they swept out the rubbish thinking they could build a better company and it would of worked, thing is the under managers at BT got higher management jobs and dont know how to run a company so big and are doing more damage now than good. Remember a company's only as good as the people running it and the engineers it employs.

The powers that be have said that losing the 70 now will keep Toyota/Bt going until Jan 2010 Without more losses this year. So Jan 2010 or before I bet they ll be more losses!

Reply to Stanley:It would appear that the sales people will be going fairly quickly once the consultation proces has begun.I'm told that they will each undergo an assesment by way of a points system... if you don't have enough points you are out! The probationers will be out without having to endure this process. It's not good lets hope that some at the top get the bullit for mess created by the integration. It would appear that on this occassion the ****'s have been asleep on the job whilst the BT bosses have f'@@ked up their train set.More to come on this i'm sure. it's just the start of the job losses at Toyota/BT you watch!

Warrington Office staff/project team hit bad, Eagle Park to close, other smaller outposts to dissapear. Ive heard Engineers in warrington depot hit also Engineers around L,pool area, and acouple of Atms, Southern sales force hit the worst. Sales all over but mainly probationers taken on last year still in there probationary period to go.
Its a bad time for us all.

It's official.
At least 70 redundancies going across the country mostly back room staff/rental dept/tele sales etc. Also the entire salesforce has been summoned to regional synchronised meetings today. Looks like there will be more casualties! BT have well and truly destroyed what was a good company. The Toyota counterbalance product market share has plumeted, post integration, as many had predicted. As usual the heads that are rollling are not the ones that should be!!!
