Have a newer Unicarrier with a ZD30 Diesel - Replaced fuel filter - 2 months ago - 2 weeks pass, customer complains it is hard to start, engine rolls over 5 to 10 times before it starts , -Bleed fuel system - runs great - 2 weeks pass - same issue - unit has lots of power when running - My question, anyone work on this engine and having issues ? - suspect fuel bleed back, faulty check valve somewhere ?? or air getting into system somehow? - Operator is adamant he is not running out of Fuel - any thoughts are appreciated

If you are having to bleed the system, it is *** air or could be drawing into a vacuum prior to pump. I had one that I had to change the fitting at the tank to fuel line because it would *** the primer bulb together.
How old is this, how many hours? Is the battery holding over 10 volts while cranking? If cranking speed is down, it wont catch right away. Battery may crank steady and seem ok but not allow correct cranking speed. I bypass battery with good one to test, and usually cures issue. If it has electric fuel pump, get him to cycle key a few times before cranking.
Try to check fuel tank,pipe can be problem or fuel filter holder i was have that problems on that engines.Good luck
