Yale GLC040AENUAF083:
Transmission sounds like its aerating.

Any help is very much appreciated. Just acquired this lift. Serial number is N511267. When started and in neutral, sounds like the back up alarm sounds for a second or two then stops. No sound from tranny to start, then as it runs for a minute or two, it sounds like it is *** air from somewhere. If you run it long enough, it will stop engaging into forward or reverse and then "catch" as if it is finally able to find the fluid. Fluid is in range on the dipstick. No tranny leak. Fluid is very pink. 1803 hours. Runs great. Thanks so much.

sump filter/screen is a possibility
also...
when you say the fluid is 'very pink' that makes me think it may have water/moisture contamination. The fluid is supposed to be red.

you may want to check the radiator and overflow resivoir and see if there is any pinkish contamination in those areas. The reason i ask is the transmission cooler goes through the radiator and if the trans cooler core is leaking into the cooling system this would explain the fluid contamination causing the pink fluid.
And if the fluid inside the transmission gets airiated (full of air bubbles) it could cause it to not pick up fluid and make it do as you described.

Thanks, I'll give it a look.
I think there is a sump filter that screws in the bottom of the trans that may be plugged up. It will have a hose attached to it.
