F and R switches working, solenoid valve activating and moving, inching spool positioned properly? Is F and R pressure zero? Did you bench test with compressed air? Did you test with compressed air once the clutch shaft was installed in the case? Are the seal rings ok on the clutch shaft?
We have been back and forth on this issue. We have replaced the pump, rebuilt the convertor & the clutches. We have tested the solenoid and replaced the gasket on the control valve. We have inspected the control valve springs. When we put it all back together we have good pump pressure and convertor pressure but still no clutch pressure. We bench tested the clutches before re-installing. Is there something we are missing?
I did not fill it. The thing is if I force air into the chamber the pump will build pressure but only 130 lbs while increasing throttle. But once we shut it off it loses pressure. It seems like it keeps losing its prime.
not be be dumb, but did you fill the new torque converter with oil (prime the pump)?
