transmission disengage

This automatic transmission is disengaging once the brake pedal is release. After few seconds (5-10) the transmission engage again.
Some times, if the brake pedal is depress the problem is corrected momentarily.

sounds like your low on oil or clutch pack presure is low. as mike says could be lots of things

Is this the automatic with the 'autoshift control module' under the seat, or the straight 3 spd powershift?

The autoshift could cause the problem in like 20 different ways.

I need more details like tranny type, monotrol/direction lever...
