Yale GLC040SVXNUSE078:
transmission brake

unlike the others with this problem, this one comes on after about 5 minutes of traveling. then the dash display reads code 524264-14

and trans brake, power reduction, cycle ignition and it works for another few minutes. Smells like clutch burning

Which trans is in the unit- there should be a sticker on the dash, about knee level under the hydraulic control levers.

Customers love technology- until they have to pay to fix it!
yep check the toss and tiss sensors
but the description of the code says toss/tiss special conditions
transmission output speed not proportional to the transmission input speed.

smell something burning?
check the brakes to see if they are dragging also
make sure the park brake is adjusted right and not dragging
then check the inching system and make sure the transmission is fully engaging when the brake pedal is released.
wheels getting extremely hot?
transmission getting unusually hot?

just for starters....

524264-14 is a toss (trans sensor) "dual output failure".
got the right trans fluid?
the tiss and toss look a lot alike but are not the same.
check the wiring to them.
