Just seen the new Toyota hybrid fork lift. Toyota claim this is a first but have not Still been making these for years
looks good though fork lift design is coming into the 21st century.

sounds like a way to test new systems for automotive use to me...also showing how durable their systems are for marketing to automotive industry.

Toyota just might be playing the market with hybrid people are looking for green alternatives so why not give
them one. Some time electric trucks don't work good outside

Its all about definitions. Still have been making machines that use an engine to generate electricity to work the machine. A Hybrid should use both power sources to power the machine separately at the most economical times and together for maximum output.
I don't think there is a place in the market for Hybrid forklifts, the only reason Hybrid cars have a place in the market is because of the tax breaks governments have put in place to encourage so called greener motor vehicles. I can't see there being any such incentives for lift trucks seeing as there is already a proven range of electric powered machines for most applications.
Hey but who am i to argue with Toyota.
