thanks rick i will try it trw
this one is a little more complicated but try this first: there is a 1/4" id hose at the base of the lp regulator low pressure cover that connects to the plastic resonator box. take it off of the regulator and see if the problem improves. if it does send me your e and i will send you some info.
thanks rick, i will check those wires, im also working on a 7fgu18 that has an idle problem, rebuilt the fuel accumulator, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, the lift was surging up and down on idle then I cleaned the carb, no surging but idles high, when I turn down the idle the machine begins to surge again, I have looked for vacuum leaks but have found none. I also disconnected idle switch which lets the machine operate at a lower idle, but then the check engine lights turns on. any ideas thanks for your time
Vacuum switch. Left side of carb. Probably broken wires.
hey rick
thanks for the help, the light blinks three times
if the light is engine outline shaped and on the upper right side of dash there is a test point beside the battery. loose pig tail 6 pin connector black in color. when you find it hold it with the holes facing you and the lock tab on top and jump the bottom row left two terminals count the flashes with key on. let me know.
