Discussion:
Toyota 7BNCU20 Code 45 and 4c

I have this Toyota that generates both these codes intermittantly. I believe the battery does have some issues, but the problem can occur right after charging, or after an hour or two of use. I do not have a code chart, and not sure where to start. Any help would be great.

Hi Mate

The manual I have states it has detected steer contactor open when command is closed which is 4c. Also check FU1 steering fuse.

45 is PC or TPC contactor closed when command is open. Possible fuse FU2 open circuit.
