Toyota 6BWS10 walkie with Curtis 1243 controller. I need to slow down the top speed and acceleration. I have tried using the Curtis 1311-4411 programmer several times. It seems to communicate with the box as it shows the serial # and fault codes but does not give any parameters under the program list. Anyone know how to do this?

You're welcom, glad it worked.
I tried that and it worked. Yes #2 was for acceleration and #1 was for max speed. Truck now runs satisfactory. Thanks Rogeriwt.
If you horn down the horn button and turn on the truck it will go into a service mode. Use the thumb control until is shows pn, then hit the horn button. I think it is number 2 for acceleration adjustment. hit the horn button when you get to 2 that will access the adjustment. Use the thumb control to move the number up and down. You have re-enter that setting every time you test drive and want tot readjust.
Hopefully this helps.
I cannot remember as its been some years back but i think it was the curtis handsets. There is an additional link that can be put soldered in which then makes the handset universal and work on several different types of trucks that use the curtis system without any resttrictions...but I cannot remember if it was the curtis handset or not as it was some time back. Perhaps someone may of heard of this or know about it?
If it has a keypad then there is. Not sure how though.
I just checked the handset and it is the 1311-4401. Sorry for the typo. I have used the handset on some other controllers and it works fine but I can't figure out why it won't work on this one. There are only three choices under the program menu: Module #, Rx, and Tx. Is there a way to change the speed or modes through the control handle?
You need the 1311-4401 handset. It will allow you to change top speed under the "program" menu. I'm thinking you may have the wrong handset.
