Raymond EASI REACH:
Question about batteries and POS/NEG leads...

Hi,

This may seem like a stupid question, but here goes.

Trying to track down a short.

I get to the battery itself.

I have my multimeter set to check for resistance/continuity.

One multimeter lead to the battery's negative (-) lead at the connector.

The other lead to the battery case/metal exterior.

I get continuity one way (all negative readings on the meter) but not the other way.

I checked a lot of different batteries, seems like nearly half of them do this.

Is this normal?

I thought that negative/ground, should be completely isolated? Right now with the batteries installed in the truck, it grounds out the whole frame of the truck... But doesn't cause any adverse problems in most it appears...

Input guys?
