Discussion:
CAT P5000

I just installed a new VCM in a truck that had a code e35 that would not clear. Now the code is clear, but I have a square indicator where the hour meter usually is. The CAT does not have an overflow sensor like the Nissan trucks have. Does anyone know how to clear the square?

Thanks for the reply. This is an LP truck and does not have a water separator, and doesn't have a clogged air filter sensor or coolant level sensor. That's what's throwing me off

Hello Louis R

There must be a icon above the square in the display. There are three different locations for the square to appear. Left, Middle or to the Right of the display. One is used for the waterseperator indicator, The middel one is used for a low coolant level indication and there is one used to indicate a clogged airfilter.

So look at the icon above the square. This tells you what option you are dealing with.
