Grove AMZ51:
Drive controller not working

Hello - I'm hoping someone could shed some expertise. I have an older grove amz51 a45j. Serial A1993-011

A few weeks ago I lost both forward and reverse. I've replaced the drive controller joy stick with no luck and now onto troubleshooting the Parker coils. Upon investigation I noticed one of the Parker coils which is labeled SV4 has the red power coming out of it not hooked up to anything. At first I thought this would be an easy win but I'm stumped trying to figure out where this coil attaches to power. The connection block where the other coils attach is full.

I've tested every other coil with a multimeter and I'm getting a consistent 5-8 ohm reading.

The drive controller joystick also has controls for the wheels which is working so I'm ruling out any type of short in the bucket wiring.

I'm trying to find a manual for this thing but can't obtain one. Any help appreciated.

Tobin,
a question for you about the control boards
i used to work on one of these years ago and it had 2 control boards, one in the ground control box and one in the platform control box. These boards had many small relays on them. They were small black blocks that plugged into the sockets mounted on the boards. The control box also had 'can' solenoids that controlled the power to the function block coils as well.
Does this sound anything like what you are dealing with?
If so we had a consistant problem with those small relays too, i was constantly having to replace them due to corrosion issues or they would just go bad.
Just something to consider while troubleshooting the control issues you're having with it.
Oh yeah, good luck finding any information like a manual on this unit, grove aerial lifts does not exist anymore and unless someone has a copy of a manual they would share with you, it will probably be nearly impossible to get one. Grove manlift division i believe was bought out by another company and they only provide parts i think. It may be a company called minnpar that took them up. They do have a website, just use that name followed by "the dot com" and you can get their contact information so you can get in touch with them.
