A 53 year old lift isn't worth a Yankee dime. Even the Chinese won't make after market parts for it.Best to haul it off to the scrap yard and get what you can out it - drain all the fuel,oils, fluids first..
Wow, it almost makes your forklift almost worthless. There is a number stamped on the outside of the mast which you will need to try to find a used cylinder. There will be a 181 stamped underneath the mast number. You will also need to supply the model and serial # of the forklift truck. You may have to buy the complete mast which usually run around $1500.
