Yale GTP25RDJUAE2030:
Yale/Mazda FE79 Crankshaft Pulley

Hi,

I acquired awhile ago a Yale GTP25 with the Mazda FE79 engine. I got it cheap because I think it started running poorly and they never managed to fix it and gave up.

I'm suspect of the crank to camshaft timing as I can only get the ignition timing correct with the locking bolt hard to the right or if the distributor is engaged one tooth over hard to the left in the slotted hole.
I have checked the camshaft drive belt and it is timed correctly.

This forklift uses the crankshaft pulley to drive the hydraulic pump and when I brought it the uni-joints in the pump driveshaft were flogged out and had a lot of slop. I replaced them but I was wondering could the excessive play in the old joints caused the crankshaft camshaft drive pulley to rotate slightly on the crank?

I've heard it apparently happens of some Mazda FE engines and that there are 3 types of crankshaft camshaft drive pulley versions.

Which type of crank pulley is this? and How is it removed? (I'll attach a photo when I work out how)
