Yale G52 Thermostat replacement

I have an old Yale g52 that is overheating and i think the thermostat is bad (is was in pieces). Problem is that it seems like it was press fit inside the thermostat housing. Does anyone have any experience replacing these? I cant seem to get the thermostat out to find a suitable replacement.

Nevermind. I got it out. The entire inner portion was a retaining ring. once I got some rust off, i could see it and remove it. the old thermostat popped out. Went to NAPA and found one around the same diameter part # MTR297.
