I have the same problem.. only with unit off contactor is open completely. Key the unit on and the tips close instantly. When the unit doesnt fail they dont close until i step on deadman. So basically im getting voltage to the contactor when i shouldnt. No visible shorts in wiring or harness. Im thinking its a vm issue.. any thoughts anyone?

Set the BSOC setting to lower if using older battery and also increase the CUTOFF to higher.
Check the basics first. Are you running your battery on low volts???? Is the battery in good shape or old and worn out?????. Stuck contacts are usually caused by low battery amps. I would disassemble contact Assembly, check condition of tips. replace if worn or damaged. Check condition of brush and armature on hydraulic motor. Check cables and wires that support the hydraulic electrical system. It's usual the little things that cause big problems

Thanks. Prentice.
The situation is intermittent. Is changing the whole contactor assembly going to fix this problem?
Would there be more work needed?

Code 42 - Lift contactor closed when commanded open. Suspect you have a stuck pump contactor.
