what have change do I in the computer???????????????????????????????????????
sorry for the found oneself information which I have given
not that easy with a fortens truck. you need to get a downloaded file from hyster (dealer only) to change the program in the truck ,so it know,s what input to look for. changing pedal and fitting switch is easy bit.
Hi Michel
If I understand you rite you have a hyster with a monotrol foot pedal (forward and reverse switched by the foot pedal) that you want to convert to a direction switch if so it shouldn't be a problem Hyster used 2 types of monotrol foot pedal the early type had 1 switch which was in forward or reverse (no neutral position) on the later foot pedals there are 2 switches (forward and reverse) because regulation specified that the direction switch must have a neutral position. In either case all you need to do is identify the three wires (forward, reverse and common) which are connected to the direction switch or switches at the foot pedal and route them to the direction switch. If you need help identifying the wires (6 and 8 forward and reverse and 15 common) I can help if you tell me which controller is in the truck.
WHEN YOU CONVERT FROM A MONOTROL TO A DIRECTION SWITCH YOU MUST REMOVE THE DIRECTION SYMBOLS FROM THE FOOTPEDAL AS IT WILL CAUSE CONFUSION AS TO WHICH WAY THE TRUCK WILL TRAVEL AS IN IF A DRIVER USED TO A MONOTROL FOOT PEDAL DRIVES THE TRUCK HE MIGHT PRESS FORWARD ON THE FOOT PEDAL BUT IF THE DIRECTION SWITCH IS IN REVERSE THE TRUCK WILL TRAVEL IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
If you need more help let me know.
