Crown RD3000 - Code "24"

Working on a unit that won't drive forward or back, I get the code 24 which I'm told is related to the forward/reverse contactor assembly.

Can anyone tell me if I should be worried about a complicated re'n're? Or should I finish tackling this on my own?

I am planning on replacing the Complete assembly I've been quoted on both the OEM unit as well as an aftermarket unit.

I am very experienced with older Raymonds (74 - 84) and mostly with Cars of any age.

If I am to replace the entire assembly will there be any specific tools that I will require? Is this a bolt in unit? I have access to an abundance of professional automotive tools, etc.

Any help is relished at this time. Thanks.

it could be very complicated, and we have no idea of your mechanical ability. I would suggest you replace the complete forward and reverse contactor assembly (be sure to get the cables back in the right places, and make sure the battery is disconnected before starting work..
