Cat Lift Trucks (& Caterpillar) GC25K OR GP25K:
leaking hydraulic fluid and weird oxidation from exhaust

Is there an easy way to test which part of the fitting hydraulic fluid is leaking from in the front that helps move the forks side to side? Also How to I get air out of the system when i put it together.

My Last question is there is a rust or oxides color coming from the exhaust and leaks water i believe. any ideas

Hello Craig. your hydraulic system is pressurized at 2200- 2500 psi -extreme caution is recommended. - you can test for leaks my dead ending cylinders. with the high pressure any leak will soon be visible. DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND IN FRONT OF LEAK. USE a piece of paper or cardboard. The system will take out all air when you use the hydraulics.

Water or condensation from exhaust is normal -usually caused by
stop/starts.

hope this helps
