The W9EXR-U/CU plugs come with the washers on them. I'm not sure you can buy just washers. They are installed first then the crush washer that is sort of crimped on there.
That makes more sense than anything. Obviouly they did not install the copper washer when the last person changed plugs...Thanks a lot, i will be looking for the washers in the parts house.
W9EXR-U/CU have a thick copper washer on them along with the crush washer that keeps the plug from going in so deep.
With aluminium heads I normally try & change the spark plugs with the engine slightly warm.
I did see a young spanner monkey at a car garage the other week using an air ratchet to remove & refit spark plugs on an aluminium head.
Don't think so the threads look good up to the last two threads. they look burnt. So far I have removed one without trouble and the other has the last 3 threads full of aluminum, but the new plug went in fine and tighted OK. Still struggling with the last two. seem alwayfully tight.
Wonder if some idiot has put copper grease on the plug threads?
Not sure on how to get them out without pulling the threads on them.
The actual Toyota number for the plug is 90919-01954-71 and it is a W9EXR-U.
