I have hired a few techs from CROWN US because the pay is almost $7 less per hour compared to the competition. I hear they have great training but long employees just don't seem to be at the branches around me.

15 mins? The two engineers that have been sacked in the midlands recently were sacked for more than 15 min time sheet discrepancies lol!

I believe others are looking at going the same way.
Land home a few minutes early dock you 15 mins.
They must forget you have jobs to complete/parts to return etc.

A friend of mine started with them in the Midlands he Lasted 3 weeks and jacked, Tracker mad apparently... Would like a change myself but getting questioned about 15 mins is not the way to attract new staff.. I'm out.

As an undisgruntled former Crown field tech I can tell you there are better places to work. I left under good terms and have been offered my job back several times. I still deal with their techs and have been known to help out on sticky tech problems. If they were as good to work for as their electric units are built it would be the best of both worlds.

How come if some one says something not nice about a company they might be a disgruntled ex employee , it might be the their standards are not the same as some one else or it might be they have seen it differently or had a different experience. I'm sure Crown UK are a excellent company to work for and have many happy engineers it seems tho that Andy was not one of them but thats not to say he is disgruntled he might just have a different opinion

Andy since when don't they pay well??? I know what I started on when I joined and it was in line with Jungheinrich and most of the rest. I left because I had a job offer at an end user I couldn't turn down with a career path I couldn't get anywhere on the industry, or I would still be there. I still deal with crown and their engineers on a daily basis and know the new starters are now on more than I was 2 years ago. Disgruntled ex employee by any chance???

Good afternoon Gents,
Crown are looking for engineers as is all the industry.
Here I go with a rant. the pay is not good in line with the industry.
crown don't pay well but yes there is a lot of overtime, but why should you need to do overtime to get a decent wage? but hey. rant over lol good luck :)

I believe they are a good company to work for,you dont often see vacancies for them particularly in the north where they seem to be getting stronger. An ex colleague of mine joined them and speaks highly of them.Unfortunatly I've lost touch with him.

I enjoyed my time with them, like any other company there are good and bad things. I found if your prepared to work hard and not moan all the time ( like most of the long termers seemed to do lol) you were left alone to get on with it. Pay is around the same as the rest and plenty of overtime if you wanted it
