Discussion:
Yale engine die when turn/tile to the end

Hi,

We had an old Yale dual fuel Yale, it takes slightly longer to start which is okay. The thing is when you either turn steering/tile front or back to the very end, the engine die immediately. We found very small hydraulic fluid leak on the ground, not sure if its the reason?

Any idea how old the fuel is in the tank? Might not be a good idea...
Sounds to me like you have ignition system issues.
A tune up can do wonders. Make sure you put a new coil in as well.
Good luck.

Well something has to tell the unit which fuel to use. Wire up a cheap switch or find the wires to the fuel pump and run it straight from battery and force the fuel pump to come on to deliver fuel to the carb. So if it's running off LP then you have a fuel deliver/pressure problem and it's starving for fuel once it hits the end of any stroke and causing the hyd. Pump to bog the motor down and shut off.

There is a swithc to switch between gas and petrol and the cable for petrol is cut, dont think it will take petrol at all.

Also if running off LP does it have a model J and VFF regulator and lockoff or does it have an injector if so what type of regulator?

Just because the fuel lvl is full doesn't mean it's not getting the proper pressure/amount to run the motor correctly. Are y'all running it off of LP or gas and if off of one does it happen on the other type?

Thanks for the advise, the fuel is full so I was thinking maybe the joint part was not lubricated. Now we have to bring engine to high revs when steering close to the end so it doest die.

Sounds like it's starving for fuel that's why it dies under a load. Clean your carb/throttle body. Also check plugs and rotor just to be on the safe side. Hyd. Leak has nothing to do with it.

The word "okay" (or its abbreviation "OK") originated as a humorous misspelling. In the 1830s, a fad in Boston involved using abbreviations of intentionally misspelled phrases. "OK" stood for "oll korrect," a playful mispronunciation of "all correct".
