Discussion:
No Spark engine will not run?

I am just about at my wits end, completed tune up due to no start fault. Replaced coil, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Spark very intermittent when cranking. Any ideas?

Confirm you distributor pick up coil is ok, should read.8-1.7 AC volts when cranking. (3.0 liter GM)
Have had frequent coil and ignition Module failures.
Also if you unplug the four prong plug from the distributor and the unit will start and idle, you may have a SECM failure.

Fact of the week
The first practical visible-spectrum LEDs were red, not white. The red colour was the easiest to produce using the semiconductor materials available at the time (the 1960s). The alloy gallium arsenide phosphide (GaAsP) used emitted red light.
