brakes

My customer says he is loosing brake fluid but it is not leaking out on to the ground. He is 250 miles away so I want to prepare myself as best as possible. The fluid loss is substantial. I know some models have hydraulic boosted brakes and possibly some may have vacuum boosted with brake fluid which can *** the fluid away if the booster is faulty. Any thoughts?.
