Discussion:
code A4

Regarding Cat Order Picker model nor3op. Does anyone know what code A4 is? Unit will not move. As soon as battery is connected I get this code. Thanks. This unit has been acting up for some time now and gives different codes at different times, but now it wont do anything. Also I am new here, thanks again.

code 80 is throttle control out of range
code 81 is lift control out of range

providing all your cables are connected properly and secure in their sockets and no damage to any cables, you need to go into the TM and relearn the controls.

What did you do since our previous posts?
something you may have inadvertently done could be causing this new set of codes. The fact that you are getting simultaneous codes from the control handle for lift and travel is unusual. did you replace the eeprom and/or board in the TM? Disconnect anything while checking the unit and maybe connected back incorrectly or may have damaged some wiring?

error code A4 - COP Reset occurred

corrective actions and checks:
- check and clean static straps
- check for shorts to frame
- replace the firmware (eprom)
- install a replacement vehicle manager (the suspect vehicle manager must be returned to mfg for recalibration before it can be used)

i would make sure truck has static strap installed first
then isolate the battery away from the truck and see if code goes away.
if code persists check for shorts to frame in motors and other components.
last would be to replace the firmware or vehicle manager

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
