Have a unit that has codes 31 and 35, any suggestions?

I always check the harness first. They are always chaffing through and grounding out to frame or breaking. I would remove the handle completely, it gives you a better look at all the wires.

Code 3.1 says Contactor coil/field short.....I wou
D check the Contactor coil for opens and shorts.
Couldn't find 3.5 is ths code correct,it isn't listed anyplace?
