yep the first time i did one i didn't get it on the first try, so just be patient , the button sequencing and what you see on the display results is where it gets confusing but once you do it a couple of times it's not so bad ;o)
Swoop,
Thank you. That is what I was looking for. I was told that the mib's are difficult to work with, now I see why. Nothing like the Raymonds or Toyotas when it comes to calibrating. The info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
roger,
this is the same procedure the yales used on thier trucks with this system in them, the calibration procedure is the same.
its a 2 step process
first when you install the pot
you have to set it correctly
measure between the red(32) and black(31) wires and it should read within 100ohms (the pot should be a 10k pot)
if not then loosen the nut holding the pot onto the bracket and turn it till you get the desired reading, then lock it down.
then the mib calibration
(note: make sure the hydraulic pot is centered before doing this)
now on the mib press button A then use buttons C or D to change the numbers on the digital display till the left 2 digits read 32. Release button A. The final reading on the 4 digit display should show 3210.
Press button D until the function value is decreased to zero. Then press button D at least one more time.
The display should now show 3200.
Now move the control to full lift position and hold for 2 seconds. Then move the control to full lower position and hold for 2 seconds. Then repeat the full lift position for 2 secs and full lower position for 2 secs. Then return handle to neutral position. After this press button C to increase the function value (right 2 digits) to anything greater than 00. Press and hold button B, move the control to full lift and full lower while holding the B button. The left 2 digits should change while moving the control to full lift or lower and neither should read any less than 94 at full throws and a maximum of A0 which is same as 100 percent. If you cannot get to at least 94 on both lift and lower then the pot has to be repositioned and the procedure repeated till they both read within that parameter.
If you achieve the desired readings of 94 or better on both lift and lower then the pot is calibrated. you can turn off the key and it should be set.
hope this helps
