cat dp30 lift cylinder

I found that one of the lift cylinders on a customers DP30 is leaking and needs to be re-packed. Can I safely do this out on the road? I have done tilt cylinders and such out on the road, but never a lift cylinder..What should I look out for?

Yea, I think I will have them send a more "seasoned" guy. I'm more worried about removing it and having something fall on me!

I have built them on the road. You need to check ram for nicks and cuts. Before you pull it all apart. These are heavy and I always remove ram and case then repack and return to lift. If you dont feel like you can manhandel the unit yourself take some help.
