Discussion:
Gregory Explosion Proof Truck, Knott Brakes

I have a Gregory RSC4EX, the unit has four wheel brakes. All brakes built by Knott. I have all the numbers possible off of the brakes and backing plates. I cannot find a source for wheel cylinders or wheel cylinder kits. The factory in New Jersey will not return my calls. Anybody know where to get parts for Knott brakes. I am being told that they are made in Germany.

Thanks

The parts are readily available at the Gregory manufacturer in NJ. Please call 973-808-8399 x106 for the parts department and provide the serial number of your truck when inquiring for the parts.
Thank you.

trying to deal with the component mfg's is almost impossible since they generally do not deal with the end users, they are usually propriatary to the mfg's only.
if you need help with this you are stuck dealing with the dealership.
Of course if your lucky you MIGHT find a retailer that deals with these components but good luck finding one.

That is really strange as they have been very helpful in the past.
The only dealer I could find is Bell Forklift.

Knott has a facility here in the US www dot knottbrake dot com
based in Ohio.
They should be able to help you out or point you in the direction of one of their distributors.
Very prompt and easy to work with.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
