Discussion:
ZAPI MPB or COMBISEM1

Has anyone repaired a ZAPI MPB or COMBISEM1? I have to replace MOSFET transistors, but it is very difficult to remove and solder MOSFETs. I've used a soldering station but my results are of poor quality. Is there any tool or method to solve it?
Thanks in advance

Hola gabriel!

HI there

We have recently began receiving some AC Zapi controllers, which have their mosfets mounted direct to a heavy aluminium heat sink, we have had difficulty however found that depends on the components near and around the mosfets area you might be able to get the solder to melt if you utilise a heat plate whilst soldering.

I look forward to the picture. Otherwise, the 100W is not small, just be a mass of mountain. Thicker copper build to a peak, not to cool it as soon as you touch the soldering process. I tried to send you an email, but something was wrong with the address. The mine can be found on the site. Zapi be drawing?

Hello Laci thanks for your reply. A 100W soldering iron is very small. I'm using a 250W soldering iron. I will send you a photo so you can see.

Hello,
make your own tools. A copper plate as if it were to file the saw teeth are prepared. The three peaks will comply with the distance between the foot transistors. This edit least a 100W soldering tip and move on. Asawhole this must be heated in all three legs. But before you choose all the transistors of the cooling disk. Good job.
best regards, Laci
