Discussion:
Compare UL 583 & EN 1175-1:1998 + A1:2010

Hi,
I am working on CE marking of Electric Forklift Trucks.

One of the requirements of EN 1175-1 which is specifically for Electrical requirements calls for Battery connector's compliance with AnnexA of En1175.
Most of the components are tested for UL583 by manufacturer and we are using it while making FLTs.

Please tell me whether UL 583 & En1175-1 are same?
If not, what is the difference between them?

Can I use UL583 compliant component for Europe?

As per you said about UL583 & EN1175 do resemble each other , but neither noone has said nor i have seen in the site that they do resemble. But as i have referred both the of theirs details, they are the same.
