if you dont find the obvious
blown D/C fuses
blown A/C fuses
then call a qualified Hertner Tech and have them repair it(ESPECIALLY if you dont have the manual that is usually enclosed inside the door!)

i know most customers think us forklift tech's are 'all knowing and all doing' but in some cases its not worth the risk of being electrocuted or creating a meltdown with a customers piece of equiptment. ;o)

If they'll work long enough to test, I'd hook up 2 forklifts for charging & test input & output of chargers. I'd then swith the forklifts & test again. If they're blowing fuses, they're either getting insuffecint power or putting out to much. This test will give you a directrion to follow.

Yes,they have swithed lifts from one to the other,Chargers. They are 3 phase,I ll check that..I d say,They are the same age. Im fairly sure they both have the same problem.the first one started blowing fuses,Fuses would burn up on one end. From being hot.then stopped chargeing alltogether. They are on seperate power outlets. Thanks kent

Are these 3 phase supply? As both are faulty you may have a phase down on the supply, just a thought.

Company has 2 of the same charger & both are acting up? Are they the same age? I assume the chargers are for 2 forklifts? Is each charger dedicated to a unit or do they mix & match chargers? Are the chargers on the same power circuit? If you replace fuses, do they charge long enough to run some tests?

I'm not familiar with this charger. Is it an electronic self regulating type? What's the conditin of the battery? How long was the charge lasting before this situation started?
