Discussion:
Any experience with Chinese counter-balanced Forklifts?

We are in the market to buy a couple of new forklifts for a new plant. We have quotes for Clark, Yale, Komatsu, etc. We also got quotes for a few Chinese ones. They are very attractively priced. That is good and at the same time scares me. The specs are comparable on paper. Looking for a basic 4500 lbs, 3-stage mast, 15' lift, propane forklift with sideshifter. Any experience wwith any Chinese branded forklifts? What are the good brands?

Chinese counter-balance forklifts from 1.5T to 3.5T are quite good comparing the price.

There is seldom big repair work. If you have experienced service person, it's a good choice. But to find a reliable manufacture.

We sell Heli forklifts. They hold up well and have GM or Cummins diesel engines with imco fuel systems. All the hoses are JIC. So all these parts you can get at NAPA.

IMO the biggest issue with Chinese equipment is local product support (parts, service). It seems teh hey liek to sell teh equipemnt based on attraactive $ & worry about product support later. Take a close look at the availablity of look service facilities no nmatter what brand you buy.
