Discussion:
Is this the time for a qualified SMH competitor?

I am wondering what the general consensus is with regards to the aftermarket parts industry. As we all know, there is effectively only one supplier, SMH. Yes, I realize there are others like Helmar, Intella, R&R, etc... (and for the purpose of this discussion, let's leave out the OEM / SMH supplied parts ; Unisource, Premier etc... and Promatch) but with all due respect to these companies, they have not really made any in roads to conquer the giant. My questions are; why do you think that is is, what is missing in this equation, what would you like to see in an aftermarket parts supplier, what have the SMH competitors done right and/or wrong, what would it take for you to change?

Thanks

The competitors have to get up to speed. They are so far behind, make it easy for the dealers to buy from you. Get your internet programs working!!!! **** that is the number one problem I have with these so called combatents. Smh's user freindly IRMN has been my number one program for training new employees, and some times gives you better information than my own OEM. You don't have to reinvent the round wheel, just make it go round...
