Hi Fred,
pls confirm if your truck is DC or AC (and age of machine). i assume your machine is a DC truck.
For FE78 we have two possibilities:
1. Voltage potential on -x10:1 and -x10:30 before machine is switched on - check for +ve voltage at these terminals. If voltage present remove -x10 plug and recheck at plug/harness.
2. If there is no voltage potential present = faulty LAS PCB k1 is welded / faulty

Thanks for your reply, The code still appears when the battery is on the machine but with flyleads connected (possible voltage drop).The fault is intermittent and appears on different batteries.

Hi Fred,
am i right in thinking that the truck works ok if the battery is not fitted. if so, it sounds like your battery has voltage potential on the casing/tank. The control system sees the voltage and fails-safe.
