Discussion:
Aisan regulators

I am wanting to learn more about Aisan regulators, particularly the area at the top that has either an electrical solenoid, OR in my case, a vacuum line that seems to want a source of vacuum immediately on start up. I believe Toyota refers to this as the "Slow Solenoid" and Hyster manuals refer to this as the "Idle Bypass Solenoid".

What is the purpose of this solenoid? Is it supposed to give more LPG during cranking?

Im not sure of the age of it. Though it does have an LPG lock off solenoid down at the bottom that looks like a black cylinder. I had a truck that would start and run but would slowly decrease idle and die. Found that a vacuum needs to be drawn on this hose at start up to run.

if it's a real old one it's a vacuum lock off valve. The newer ones have the solenoid and the slow path hose that supply's fuel to the injector.
