Discussion:
Toyota 7FGU25 (gasoline) running rich under load.

Hi everyone.

I have a gasoline 7FGU25 that has been running rich for a while and progressively gotten worse. It loads up with fuel and stalls if under heavy load. In my opinion it's vacuum related and seems like there's a torn diaphragm somewhere that's dumping fuel directly into the vacuum side and gets worse the harder you accelerate. I know nothing about forklifts so would appreciate some guidance as to where to start looking. I looked at the carb briefly and noticed a handful of vacuum lines but didn't spend any time tracing them out. I run a marine repair shop so we are handy but just not forklift experts! Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Todays fuel isn't helping anything! Several issues occur and it's best to just replace the carb complete. It's not that expensive. Aftermarket ones are available for 200$. Dual fuel or straight gas?? Either way the carbs are so worn out and it's usually the throttle shaft seals bad. IT's replacement time. Run the vac lines to the same ports. Possibly 4. Also there's gaskets needed on the intake. 3 total. Heat riser , and 2 sealing. Check intake throat for carbon buildup. Carbs are 98% set up to drop on and run.
