Discussion:
Battery will not charge - Lights flashing.

So one of the employees forgot to turn off the forklift (Hyster W30ZA2 Pallet Stacker) and left the key in the on position over the weekend.
When I came in and noticed the battery was dead, I turned the key to the off position and plugged it into the extension cord after doing the usual cable switch.
After about 10 minutes of charging noise, 3 lights come on.
1 SOLID Wet & AGM Light (Yellow)
Flashing 30 and 90 % charge indicators.

Any idea what it means? If they are dead batteries, how can I access the battery compartment? Do you need any equipment to get the batteries out?

I'd like to get the batteries out so I can charge them individually to see if there is a bad one. I suppose it could be other things also, maybe someone can help me or lead me in a direction.

Thank you!

Leonard,

Does the lift have an onboard charger? If so, that is what we call a battery pack. The whole pack would need to be removed from the lift. Then you have access to all batteries. Some stackers use an industrial battery and have a separate charger mounted on the wall. Serial# would help. Unfortunately, different battery configurations can be installed.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
