Hi Peter, On the back of the valve chest on top of transmission there is a big cover plug with hex head. Take that out and remove valve spool behind. In the end of that spool is a little nylon screw in filter. These have a habit of coming loose and stopping full travel of valve causing transmission slip. Even a quarter turn loose makes a big difference so definitely worth a check.
Cheers,
Simon
