Does anyone know if there is a list of the industry standards available online, for example mast drops, brake stopping distances etc for different types of machines.

have you read what is online under itsdf dot org? itsdf =industrial truck standards development foundation, the group that maintains the standards for USA manufacturers and sellers in the USA, the standards are a free download, as long as you agree not to attempt to resell that which you downloaded for free...
