China copies being sold as OEM?

I have been hearing throughout the industry here in Los Angeles that some major distributors are using China made gear pumps and passing them off as OEM. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

it would not be the first time that ever happened...
the answer is to raise holly heck with the people who sold you the non-OEM as OEM, no mater where it was made.
Tell them you expect the company that mis-represented the materials to pay for labor as well as parts on replacement upon failure. and that under that condition, you will agree to -test- their products.
