ERROR CODE AD-8

unit has error code AD-8. ( CAN communication SAS?OPS date reception error.

mast wont go down. do any of you have any suggestions?

if you have a schematic look for the black wires on the junction block from ECU B fuse and power up the sas controller. if memory serves me its 1B12 and 1C5. they must be bat v when key is on. if only one is powered up, particularly if youre in a wet environment the problem is likely the junction block. pull the three front plugs and inspect. if you see cheese replace the block

I have not run into this problem my self but will try to help to the best of my ability first remove negative battery cable and check fuses for a blown fuse look for fuse markedECU-B ECU -IG EFI IGN if none found than pull connecter from sas/ops and check for water in connecter or loose connection next do same to engine controller and same to muilti fuction display harness connectors will do labeled A21 A20 A36 AQ Q2 next put back all harness connection and negative cable and turn key on and see if code goes away if not you must take continuity readings and look for short in harness start atA21-8 ECU-B continuity A21-1ECU-IG continuity A21-2-ECU-IG continuity Q-2-ECU-IGcontinuity A20-12-Q2-5continuity A20-13 -Q2-6 continuity A20-12-A36-28continuity A20-13 -A36-29continuity A20-12-frame no continuity A20-13-frame no continuity A36-3 EFi continuity A36-9 IGN continuity if no problem replace sas/ops controller
