Fault Code 676-3

At times unit will show this fault code and not start. Have changed glow plugs. Problem is intermitten. Sometimes code will come across while unit is being operated. If you stop unit it wont start, but if you let it sit awhile it will. Also, sometimes disconnecting the battery will reset code and it will start. Any ideas?

OK I don't want to sound like an idiot but, which relay is the one for this and where is the vsm located. Also, does this unit have a glow plug timer. Ran into a problem on a Komatsu with that

Code is for glow plug relay driver reading high. Check the connections on the relay. You may need to check the wiring from the relay socket to the VSM. If all checks good the VSM is bad.
