Discussion:
Error code e24

Hi everyone, I have a lift that's a little beyond my knowledge and was hoping someone can helpout. Model p5000 serial at3507108. Error code e24 ( accelerator) & sometimes after clearing codes with battery disconnect, it switches to e23( throttle) but most of the time only e24 comes on right away. Had someone connect laptop and he said accelerator signal goes up to 100 percent while throttle signal only at 6 percent. He's trying to get more info from Caterpillar. In the meantime, accelerator sensor was replaced and relearned 2, 10, 2, ohm test was okay on each wire all the way to shielded ones. Throttle swapped out with known good one, relearned and wires ohm test okay all the way to shielded section also. Relays were swapped out and another known good ECM installed for test purposes but all failed and error code stays on with no throttle response from engine. My question is does the ECM or VCM the one that controls these sensors? Does anyone know what color wire goes in/ out for signals? I don't have a schematic for it and any help/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

verify you have 5v power supply at throttle body from ecm, verify etc relay power to ecm, check for corrosion at bottom of etc relay box(pull/push on wires)....perform the key learns....and if has the adjustable pot(not to sure on this, set it to 0.6v)..also i have found broken wires at the connector or the throttle body connector, (more often then anything else)
