Discussion:
Code 10

Been having some issues with this truck showing a code 10. Now I know that the code tells you to check the right motor armature circuit. I checked the circuit for breaks and it checks out fine. it has new line contactors/regen contactors, new fuse and a new logic card. i also swapped out the diodes and drive board with ones i knew worked and the code still comes up. any ideas on what i should check next?

Showing items 1 - 7 of 7 results.
found the issue. Right motor had a break in a wire that bridges the brushes. couldn't see it because its hidden in the motor. when tested the wire was making contact but when you would turn the motor around slightly it would move the wire and shoot the code out. Rebuilding motor.

current sensor is good. ran the check on that. the head capacitors check out good as well. im starting to believe the issue is somewhere within the motor itself. im pulling it out soon and rebuilding it. im also pulling the battery and checking the wires that run underneath the battery.

I ran the tests for the H-bridge card and it checks out fine. I will be checking T1R as soon as I get clearance to enter my shop. The trucks are used inside a refrigerated ship to haul out fruit but are taken out daily. I will post updates as I keep figuring this one out. When I get these codes its usually one of the connector wires off the thermal sensor within the motor somehow gets disconnected or broken.

You should test the IGBT on the right side. but while your that far down test both of them! most time when they go out it takes the drive board with it. made sure to have yourself grounded as these items are very sensitive.
if those check good run test for H bridgr card.
what type of application is this truck in?

Also noticed one of the terminals from the motor itself was melted. I'm assuming it was over-current because the operator said the motor was sparking and it has new brushes and the commutator is good. Something is making that wire heat up and causing that code but there is no short. anyone have any ideas or has had this problem before?
