have a S80FT G004V05661J
Customer had the engine rebuilt. try to start it but the dash says'' special entry, starter block'' or something like that cause it is in french. Lift won't start. No codes.
any ideas

please check seat switch factory u cannot bypass get another and see if that works. if the vsm doesn't get signal that operator not on seat it wont start.
I will check up on hyster online and see what this unit come factory
On some trucks there is a card reader or a key input to log the operator. Does the truck have a seat belt that is red? on the red seat belts it needs to be connected for the truck to start. If not then some one has turned on an option the truck does not have If you have access to the software check to see which options are turned on.
What exactly do you mean by a pin...? Customer is fine to get acces to the computer but he just cannot find a way to get the truck to start

it sounds like you need a pin to start unit which is a option. it can be turned off by service tool. you can try 55555
It says:
STARTER INTERLOCK SPECIAL INPUT
No codes in dash. forklift won't start
change the language in dash then you can read it
