Discussion:
What's happening at Nissan?

Does anyone know what's going on with Nissan in the UK? First Impact jump and no credible dealer wants to take on the product, now it seems that Carrylift are about to do the same!

What will HFT, South Wales and Lift West do now as they'll be the only dealers selling any Nissans?

i take it that Rushlitf are doing ok.Be interesting if they do take over Carrylift and put Doosan in there,at one point some one said Barlow might be looking to sell Doosan. With the dealer network expanding and a wide range of products Rushlift might be looking at becoming the main Doosan dealer in UK How are Doosan coming on with tier iiiB emissions next year down to 56 kw

At let are Nissan's only route they will concentrate on smaller trucks and warehouse trucks, trucks with a power out put over 56kw will be dropped Nissan wont want to spend money on R&D to bring trucks up to date to meet new emissions, many Asian manufactures will not want to invest the capital needed to bring trucks up to date for new emissions. This will see a major change in trucks from 6,000kg - 8,000kg

Rumour has it that Nissan UK are about to merge their Materials Handling business with some other company. They did have strong relationships with Mitsubishi at one time but I think that has cooled in recent times.
