Discussion:
Goodsense

Hi All,

Can anyone on here give me some feedback on Goodsense Forklifts?
I know they are Chinese, how is the quality and overall experience?

Showing items 31 - 39 of 39 results.
Just an after thought for everyone. When it comes to Warranty, they're only as good as the company backing them.

Chinese lifts will only get better as they consistantly improve with each passing month. They can ship parts overseas for a few dollars...cheaper than we can send within our own countries....but just dont try sending anything back!
Buy a used Toyota? Make sure it's not one their "ghost" trucks, that has no service manual available anywhere, anyhow!
I've bought $1500 in service manuals and CD's from Toyota for one truck, all wrong. Even giving them serial # and model, taking pics, NO GO! Third Toyota used truck like this, try fixing it when you cant even order a simple part. You buy directly from Toyota and Most parts manuals don't even show actual parts on truck. You still have to call them.
I cant say how hard it is to service Chinese lifts, but i'm frustrated with the big Orange, and they are supposed to be the best.
The Chinese are definately good at shipping, fast and low cost. I've bought so many items with free shipping, that arrived within a week. Getiing parts from them should not be an issue.
They have that advantage. Make a deal with them, demo some trucks, get extended warranty. They may be willing to give deal....just dont go full hog, buy other proven trucks to be safe.

Lifter,
The top 10 reflects sales volume by dollars and not quality, I'm clear on that. I am not saying that a Chinese forklift is better or could be better than a Hyster or Linde etc.
I'm not comparing Goodsense or any Chinese brand to Linde etc.
My question is if these units are of an acceptable quality to provide a years of reliable service. Referring back to the Top 10 manufacturers, there is or must be an awesome amount of repeat business from their customers on some of the Chinese brands in order to climb the rankings because I believe no matter which country they sell to, if they are build poor quality, their market share will slip downwards..not move up, Thanks for your view. They do have older technology, no frills designs, I am not looking for the most advanced forklift, just a reliable unit. I agree that parts availability is a concern.

Your talking about top ten machines supplied not top ten on quality or reliability. I've yet to see any Chinese brand that's anywhere near a match for a Linde, Hyster or Crown etc I've worked on a few and net impressed at all buy Chinese at your peril

The maintenance will be the tough part here. If you look on their website they have links for "Dealer Networks" and "Parts and Service" but not much depth after that. Vandentop is right, parts may be difficult to come by. It might be best to ask these questions to the person selling you these trucks.

Guys, can we get a little more specific and move away from the general suggestions that all Chinese forklifts are poor quality? Have you seen that in the top 10, 2 companies are from China? I think that the Chinese may have some good products and its wrong to make a blanket statements, I see that the Venezuelan government bought 39 Goodsense Forklifts in November, are the Venezuelans crazy?
A new Chinese forklift with the right maintenance..still no good?

You would be making a serious mistake buying any Chinese forklift, especially since you are not on the mainland. If your business requires a forklift, it requires a reliable one. You would be better served buying a used Toyota than a new Chinese lift.
