Discussion:
the End of Materials Handling as it is known today

The Materials Handling market is about to change. With only around six or seven of the world's manufactures serving. With in the next 10 years most warehouse will be completely different Companies like KION of China DAMATIC or TOYOTA of Japan VANDERLANDE will dominate the warehouse business with hole turnkey products. Pallet trucks, reach trucks VNA truck will all be replaced with automated equipment.

Counter balance forklift sales will also decline and be replaced with complete handling systems that will be able to move products around a facility with out the need of an operator. Out side the facility there will also be big changes Both Diesel and electric forklifts will be replaced with 100% zero emission products that will have much longer ranges then electric forklifts and will be able to handle loads up to 72,000kg while being 100% zero emission. Companies Like Hyster who have backed Hydrogen to the tune of up to $260 million investment will see this disappear as hydrogen forklifts wont be able to compete with the new technologies that will offer lower cost's ,no need for high pressure systems ,be less explosive and more cost effective than hydrogen.

Well you won't be missed, now if you contributed to the actual discussion on the subject matter, like say with all your experience of the industry you might comment on say the automation of the warehouse industry

Then your comments would be worthwhile

@Swoop & Chris K
You are right - guess I'll do like they did at the end of the Waltons - and say "Good night John-Boy" or what every his name is today and tomorrow.

I've been thinking the same thing. At this point I think everyone should just ignore this thread, and any additional threads on this subject. Lack of attention is the worse thing that could happen to Exalt.

Like swoop said, we all know the outcome anyway.

ya know guys, been watching this thread go on and it's like a dog barking at the moon, or beating a dead horse...
10yrs and what? empty promises
i think we know this is a pointless argument by now...
there is a reason i haven't been chiming in on this discussion as of late...
it just keeps going around in circles yielding the same non-results.
But if you like banging your head against a brick wall then so be it ;o)
As for me? I've moved on

You can hide behind that claim all you want. There is only one way to prove us all wrong, and you STILL haven't done that.

You have to test & submit documentation to prove compliance.

When some one now states they are "looking" into doing something late in the game is like doing the old "soft shoe".

What state and federal agencies have certified your unit to be zero emissions?Until l it it is certified by CARB or the EPA as such You cannot market it as such. It is not just TAILPIPE EMISSIONS that are tested but the whole unit. It also takes time to do this. how about a straight answer for once. BTW how about a exact date for the rollout of this unit. Once again just because you claim it is zero emission you still have to prove it

1. Have run into login issues on FAC. Just simply messaged FAC and the issue was resolved. Never once changed my screen name. BTW my first name is John, the r & j are the first letters of my middle & last name. No hiding the pea on anyone. Did develop a solid & trustworthy reputation/resume in the US, Canada, Mexico and Japan during my 41 year career in this industry.
2. exhalteze did in fact clearly state this ghost F/L would be introduced in the 4th quarter of 2020 and 500 would delivered to users in North America in the not too distant future. Fact, this your words. And have made more than 2 other statements before them. Just go back and read your own writings on this site.

I would just like to point out that there are some people who hide behind their names to make comments on this discussion about things that have nothing at all to do with the end of materials handling as it is known today.

These people have no real idea about the future of the material handling industry , because if they did they would make worth while comments about the future of the industry.

These people will comment on things they can't back up and make assumptions they know nothing about.

Now you know who you are so why not just say this is my name, this is what I have achieved in this industry and because of my experience this is my opinion of what the industry in the future will look like.

Johnr j lifttech 01 Totally agree with your posts. It seems like Dave was called out by a engineering firm for non payment of services on a post a couple of years ago. I do believe he was called out by name. Until I see a demo of this uber truck then I will give him a benefit of the doubt. I dont believe any of what I hear only about little less than half of what I see. When I was buying and selling material handling equipment for a fairly large corporation I had this ability to make even the best salesman squirm. In fact the only salesman I could deal with I did not like. He always said the way things were and even though he thought he lost his first sale to me he never changed what he said Straight up dude for sure

The reason we have used different names is simply we had a issue with our login so we just found it easier to just setup a new account. We have never hidden behind names on forums you all know who I am. Unlike you.

Now we will make our announcements when we are ready and not when some nobody who knows nothing says something.

You don't even understand about the future and sustainable developments. If you did you will know that things are going to change in the next few years

It seems you have used 3 different screen names on just FAC - exhalt, exhalteze and now Letaq60n with 3 different home locations in less than one year - 1 in UAE and now 2 in the UK that has yet to produce or introduce 1 of your proclaimed zero emission ammonia eating, modular forklifts when you said you would Of course, the 3rd quarter 2020 still has 33 more calendar days - actually less when you discount Holidays ans weekends.
That all widens your self built credibility gap.
